The Introductory Session
The first step to charting is to attend an Introductory Session, presented by trained practitioners throughout the DC metro area. The session teaches the scientific foundations and basic instructions for using the Creighton Model FertilityCare™ System.
A current schedule of group sessions can be seen to the right. Please click through to register for the event.
If you aren’t able to attend any of the scheduled group sessions, individual practitioners may also be contacted for a private, confidential consultation. Please contact us or individual practitioners to set up an individual consultation.
At the conclusion of the CrMS Introductory Session, you will schedule a CrMS Follow-up Session with a practitioner and receive materials to begin charting. The majority of the instruction in the CrMS takes place during these sessions in order to tailor instruction to your particular reproductive needs.
You will meet with your practitioner 5 times in the first 3 months of learning the system. From there, 3 longer term followups finish out a year of instruction. Meeting more frequently initially helps women to gain confidence in making observations and in the overall use of the system, whereas meeting long term insures proper instruction and use of the system to your needs. After the first year of instruction it is also recommended that clients meet with their practitioner every six months or as their reproductive needs change.
A CrMS Materials Package can be purchased at the Introductory Session upon booking the first follow-up appointment. This package contains the necessary components needed for a client to begin charting, including:
- General Intake Form
- 1 CrMS chart, which holds
6 months of cycles
- 1 sample package of stamps,
necessary for charting
- 1 Introductory Booklet
Please contact a practitioner to schedule a CrMS Introductory Session and to receive additional information on pricing of classes and materials.
A special note for infertility clients
In most cases, in order to see a NaProTECHNOLOGY® trained Medical Consultant a client must have two months of NaProTRACKING® charts with a certified CrMS FertilityCare™ Practitioner. Infertility clients will follow the same protocol listed above to learn the CrMS. Practitioners will then assist clients with the referral process of seeing a medical consultant locally or working long distance with Dr. Hilgers at the Pope Paul VI Institute in Omaha, NE.
