How effective is the Creighton Model FertilityCare™ System for achieving a pregnancy?

For couples of normal fertility who want to use the Creighton Model FertilityCare™ System to achieve a pregnancy, the following rates of success have been found among couples using the system with the intention of achieving becoming pregnant:

  • 76% of couples who use Creighton Model FertilityCare™ System days of fertility for intercourse conceive in the first cycle.
  • 90% of couples who use Creighton Model FertilityCare™ System days of fertility for intercourse can conceive by the third cycle.
  • 98% of couples who use Creighton Model FertilityCare™ System days of fertility can conceive by the sixth cycle.


How effective is the Creighton Model FertilityCare™ System for couples using it to avoid pregnancy?

For couples who want to use this system to avoid a pregnancy, the use effectiveness rate is 96.8% for typical use and 99.5% for perfect use. These findings were published by TW Hilgers and JB Stanford in the Journal of Reproductive Medicine (J Reprod Med. 1998 Jun; 43(6):495-502).  

The Creighton Model FertilityCare™ System has a greater typical use effectiveness than oral hormonal contraception, i.e. “the pill”, which has a typical use effectiveness of 91% according to the CDC. Comparing this with the typical use effectiveness rate of the CrMS at 96.8%, the CrMS has been shown to be a more effective system in typical use.

All peer-reviewed studies done on the effectiveness of the Creighton Model FertilityCare™ System involved couples who learned the system from a FertilityCare™ Practitioner and continued to use the system according to the instructions of the Creighton Model FertilityCare™ System.
